Where to begin?!
Joshua and Alyssa’s wedding day was absolutely stunning from beginning to end!
Leading up to their October wedding day, my eye was on the forecast, noticing the threat of thunderstorms encroaching due to Hurricane Isaias. I knew Joshua and Alyssa’s wedding was going to be stunning, despite the predicted rain. As I drove to Dublin, Georgia the morning of October 10, it was pouring! My windshield wipers could hardly keep up. Nevertheless, by the time I pulled into the church parking lot to start photographing details, the skies were showing blue and the sun had appeared.
Since the weather continued to threaten rain, the final call was for all portraits to happen inside. But no matter! Alyssa and her mom, Felisca, had decorated their church so beautifully. Every single element was thought-out and stunning. From the gorgeous backdrop featuring a neon sign reading “The Laynes”, to the individual florals, bouquets, fairy lights and candles, I was absolutely blown away by their intentional care for every detail.
Alyssa planned four first looks on her wedding day. The first was with her bridesmaids. And I have to say, this may have been the sweetest bridesmaids’ first look I have ever witnessed. There were tears, screams of excitement, and so much joy and hugs!
Alyssa shared a private first look with her brother and best friend, Alex, and my was it the sweetest moment. So many tears, emotions, and excitement. It was such a special time. Alyssa also shared a private and emotional first look with her Dad. The sweetest!
Joshua and Alyssa’s first look was one of the most precious things ever. They requested a very private first look, and we made that happen is the gorgeously decorated church sanctuary. Just the two of them.
The tears, the giddy excitement, the joy, and the happiness of “we’re finally here”. It made me fall in love with the fact that I get to photograph these moments for a living. How am I so blessed?
Joshua and Alyssa’s bridal party was so much fun! Their vivacious and animated personalities made everything so lively and upbeat.
One of the most special things about Joshua and Alyssa’s wedding day was the wall dedicated to portraits of each married couple represented at the wedding. I had never seen such a creative and special way of honoring the guests present on their special day. It was such a thoughtful and intentional way of displaying the beauty of marriage and lifelong commitment.
Joshua and Alyssa’s wedding was filled with so much emotion, joy, excitement, happy tears, and love. It was so evident that these two are crazy about each other, and their chemistry is unreal!
Joshua and Alyssa, thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding day! I was beyond honored to be the one to capture the first moments of your forever. I know the Lord has amazing things in store for you both and will use you mightily!
Enjoy a handful of my favorites from Joshua and Alyssa’s gorgeous wedding day.
Joyfully,
Lauren
