Beautiful Spring Wedding at The Berry Barn in Mount Liberty, Ohio

Can you even begin to imagine my shock and surprise when I opened my inbox and discovered an inquiry for a wedding all the way in Ohio?! My did I just about die! After I had recovered, I hastily sent over my “Absolutely” “100%” “YES” email, saying that I would be beyond honored to capture sweet Kina and her fiance Ian’s wedding day. 90 days later I made the trek up to the plains of Ohio, with Hannah, Timothy, and Papa to capture this absolutely stunning wedding day.

Kina is a portrait and wedding photographer herself, serving couples and families in Ohio, and it was such an honor to be asked to photograph another photographer’s special day.

Now for a little backstory. Kina and Ian are no ordinary couple, and that was reflected on their wedding day. Kina expressed to me her desire to demonstrate Christ coming back for his bride. She didn’t want the day to be all about the grand entrance of the bride, but rather, for it to be an expression of the bride, the church, waiting for her bridegroom’s return. Kina also informed me that she would be having an unusually large bridal party on their special day. I prepared myself for a large amount, but my was I nearly knocked off my feet when she revealed that she was going to have 25 bridesmaids! Ian was planning on having 24 groomsmen as well, so I knew that I was in for an experience of a lifetime.

Ian and Kina’s wedding day was such a display of God’s glory and beauty. Every detail, every moment, every aspect was purposefully planned and a reflection of God’s story and plan. I was amazed at how intentional Ian and Kina were in preparing each detail to paint a beautiful picture of God’s design for his church.

Kina’s 25 beautiful girls were an absolute joy. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of ladies to work with. They were a super sweet bunch and such a delight! Ian’s fella’s were pretty awesome, too, and I’m so thankful for such an incredible group of folks to work with. Photographing a big bridal party can be a challenge, but I gotta say that this group made my job easy.

Ian and Kina, I can’t begin to say thank you enough times for giving me the honor of capturing your wedding day. Y’all are such a sweet couple, and I’m so excited to watch God unfold his plan in your lives together.
