Gorgeous Spring Wedding: Andrey and Rachel

How do I begin to pick a favorite part of this wedding day?! It seems like the Lord blessed the day from start to finish!

I had been watching the weather during the days leading up to March 25th, with sweaty palms, mind you. The forecast called for rain, wind, and gusts up to 30 mph. My imagination ran away with me one too many times, and as you can imagine, I prayed many prayers for this wedding day to be sunny, windless and without rain. As I prepared to leave for Andrey and Rachel’s wedding it was pouring down at our house. The weather app also told that the church was suffering from the same fate.

But as I pulled out of our driveway, the sun was just beginning to show it’s pretty face. The ground was soggy and wet, muddy, to be more precise, but the sun was out. I continued praying that God would hold back the storms until after the festivities were over. The Lord heard and decided to shut up the clouds for the duration of the wedding day. Thank you, Jesus!!

I have known Rachel for more than half of my life. She has always been a dear, sweet soul who loves Jesus and others so much. Being able to capture her wedding day was truly an honor for me. It seemed like every single photo that I took she was smiling — radiating the joy of the Lord!

Everything about Andrey and Rachel’s wedding day was perfect or as close to perfect as a day can be. I was in heaven capturing all of the love. It was marvelous.

I personally was especially blessed by the toasts shared by the wedding guests. I had never been to a wedding where so many of the attendees had amazing things to say about the bride and groom. One after the other they stepped up to the mic and shared with the couple, sometimes hilarious stories. It was a super special time. 😉

Andrey and Rachel, thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding day. It was beyond an honor. I pray that the Lord blesses both of you and your life together!
